Los Arcos is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Nuevo Vallarta area.  "The Arches" are called so because of arched passageways leading under the rocks.  A protected marine park, Los Arcos is the most popular snorkeling area in Nuevo Vallarta.  It's convenient location just off the south coast of Puerto Vallarta makes it popular for a quick excursion followed by some time on the town.
