This is a very special tour that visits some very special, off-the-beaten-track places in the area north of Puerto Vallarta known as the Riviera Nayarit, or the North Coast.  We will tour the famous La Penita Market, the surfing mecca of Sayulita, and most special of all, the Entre Amigos project in San Pancho.

The market in La Penita is a wonderful event where local artists offer handmade jewelry, authentic native Huichol art, Oaxacan rugs, and other regional specialty crafts and goods.  You will have time to browse the market on your own and shop for what you would like to bring home with you.  This is the best market in the Riviera Nayarit, and it is quite authentic.

After the market, we will visit the small town of San Pancho and tour the Entre Amigos project, a community center entirely funded by donations and staffed by volunteers.  The charity has attracted followers from all over the world, including the World Economic Forum, Cirque du Soleil and many others.

You will be amazed at what people at the Entre Amigos Community Center can make...fun and crazy items that can't be found anywhere else in this region.  If you have any household goods or gently used clothes, you can donate them directly to the center.  They will sell the items at the second hand store to raise funds for the center, similar to Goodwill or the Salvation Army.  We will donate part of the cost of your tour to the center as well, a very worthy local cause.

The next stop is the surfing paradise of Sayulita, one of the most charming villages in the area.  We will have free time in this cozy town, during which we can have lunch, do some shopping, go to the beach, have a Chocobanana (the best you will ever try!), see iguanas or simply relax with a cold drink and soak it all up.
 

Cruise Passengers:  Yes! This tour makes a great shore excursion.

Runs:  Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, November thru April Only.  Pick-up time will be specified on your confirmation.

Departs From:  Different pick-up locations in Nuevo Vallarta, Marina Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta. Exact directions will accompany your confirmation.
